| Ajou GSIS Programs |
The Graduate School of International Studies(GSIS) has 4 major departments, all of which offer a master's degree in International Business, International Trade, NGO Studies, International Development and Cooperation, and Korean Studies. All courses are taught in English except Korean Studies(a few courses are offered in English only in the beginning semesters), and classes are held in the daytime.

| Qualifications for Application |
In order to be admitted as a graduate student, applicants are expected to have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or in the final semester to obtain a Bachelor's degree at an internationally recognized university or college. Otherwise, applicants should have an equivalent qualification to a bachelor's degree which is approved by the Ministry of Education of their respected countries. |

| 1) Examination of Documents (1st Step) |
The GSIS dmission Committee will carefully review each applicant's academic records and other required documents submitted in the admission evaluation process and will contact each applicant's regarding phone interview date and time. GSIS Admission Committee will notify students who have passed the documents review section for a phone interview. Students who have not been passed from the document review part are disqualified for a phone interview. Normally, documents review takes about one week and students should send their application form and other required documents before the deadline. |

| 2) Interview (2nd Step) |
Applicants who have passed document review part will be eligible to do an interview as a second step for admission to the GSIS. GSIS Admission Committee will notify each student regarding interview date and time. Students who reside in Korea should visit Ajou GSIS for an interview, otherwise, all interview will be taken either via telephone or via visual conferencing facilities when available. Applicants will be tested about their academic ability, knowledge on the filed chosen, English proficiency, motivation to study and many others related to their graduate study at Ajou by the GSIS Admission Committee. GSIS notifies about one week before the interview date via email, and Interview normally takes about 15 minutes to 30 minutes,
It is VERY IMPORTANT to be prepared for your interview as scheduled previously. Failure to the phone interview will result in disqualification to the final admission to the Ajou GSIS program. |

| 3) Pre-Admission(3rd Step) |
GSIS will inform the applicant regarding his/her admission status with Ajou GSIS via EMAIL first. Upon receiving the pre-admission via email, applicants should follow the instruction given in the notification letter and should pay admission and tuition fees until the deadline determined by the GSIS Admission Committee. Failure to the admission and tuition fee payment will result in disqualification to the final admission to the Ajou GSIS. |

| 4) Admission Fee and Tuition Payment |
Students are required to pay admission fee and tuition fees until the deadlines determined by the GSIS Admission Committee. It is VERY IMPORTANT to pay all fees instructed in order to receive the Final Admission Package which will include Visa Information for applicants to enter Korea with student Visa and additional important admission information. Without tuition receipt, GSIS WILL NOT release Final Admission Package and Visa Information to the applicants, and it is very important to keep the admission fee and tuition payment deadlines guided in order to enter Korea properly and also on time NOT TO MISS any of important orientation and classes in the beginning of the semester. | 5) Final Admission (Letter of Invitation and Certificate of Admission Issuance) |
When GSIS confirms tuition fee transfer via accounting team of the University, GSIS will release the final Admission Letter(Letter of Invitation) and Visa Documents as well as other important documents needed for the new students to the applicants via express mail. |

| 6) Student Visa Issuance, Pre-Departure Preparation and Orientation |
After receiving final admission information from the GSIS Admission Committee, students can apply for the student Visa(D2) to Korea. Students need to contact Korean Embassy in their country to receive student visa to Korea, visa issuance time varies upon each country's circumstance, but it normally takes 7-10 working days. After obtaining a visa to Korea, GSIS encourages students to enter Korea before the Orientation date to participate in the Orientation Session. |
