For three days from June 22nd, renowned guest speakers gave lectures for Ajou University's students participating in the “AFTER YOU Program – 2016 Ajou Global Campus.” The lectures were arranged to motivate students.

The event began on the afternoon of June 22nd with one entitled "Game-changing Revolution" by Ajou's President Dong Yeon Kim, followed by lectures by Advisor Seung Gyu Min of Samsung Economic Research Institute, Former Prime Minister Hong Won Jung, and CEO Hyo Joon Kim of BMW Korea. The lectures were attended by students and staff members who are participating in the “AFTER YOU Program” this summer.

Advisor Min passed on his advice and support to the students, encouraging them to live energetic lives. Former Premier Jung discussed his own career and experiences as a government official with the students, adding, "You should respect and have consideration for the people around you and stay humble at all times." CEO Kim explained how foreign companies view South Korean talents and the culture of global companies and the qualifications that they expect from applicants.

In addition, foreign language classes were arranged for the program participants. Chinese and English classes were held from May 23rd and June 22nd for 20 hours each, respectively.

A total of 121 students will be sent to the University of Michigan, Johns Hopkins University, and Washington University in the U.S. and Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Beijing Institute of Technology in China. Twenty students from Ajou's neighboring universities are among the participants in the Program. The “AFTER YOU  Program" is an intensive overseas training program for students who find it hard to build overseas experience. Students will attend language courses and have cultural experiences, etc. and all of the expenses are covered by full scholarships. Ajou raised the necessary funds from people outside the University who understand the program objective – raising social mobility in South Korea.
