Notice for 2026 Global Korea Scholarship(GKS)
2026 정부초청외국인 대학원 장학생(GKS) 선발 공고

  1. GKS Application Submission Deadline 
       - General: February 4th ~ March 19th, 2026 (KST)
       - Specialization(R&D): February 11th ~ April 9th, 2026 (KST)

     *Each department will contact to each applicant regarding interview.
     *Applicants can apply for either General or Specialization program. Applying for both is strictly banned.

     ※ Applicants who downloaded the guideline before 11th of February:
        Bank balance certificate are not included for document submission. Please make sure to download new version of our guideline.

   6. General Graduate School related FAQs ★★★★★
   (1) Submission of additional documents: Additional documents are optional. 
      If you do not have the relevant documents, it will not affect your eligibility to apply, and you may proceed with your application without submitting them.

   (2) TOPIK Requirement: TOPIK requirement is not mandatory at the time of application.
      According to the GKS guidelines, this score is required after being selected as a GKS scholar, in order to enter the graduate program following one year of          Korean language training. However, if you wish to enter the graduate school immediately without completing the Korean language program, you must have          TOPIK level 5 or above in accordance with the guidelines set by NIIED

   (3) English Test Score Requirement: Unlike GSIS, for the General Graduate School, English test scores are also optional and are not required documents. 
      However, if you choose to submit them, they may be considered as part of the document evaluation process.
