NEW PTPI Lee Kwang Soo Scholarship Award Ceremony Held at Ajou GSIS
On September 10, the PTPI Lee Kwang Soo Scholarship award ceremony was held in Room 204, Yulgok Hall, Ajou University. The ceremony was attended by the donor, Mr. Lee Kwang Soo, Dean Chang Byung-yun of the Graduate School of International Studies, Prof. Kang Min-hyung, Head of the Department of International Business, Prof. Jung Hyoung-wook, Head of the Department of International Development Cooperation, and the scholarship recipient, RATSIMBAZAFY MANOA FENOSOA from the Department of International Development Cooperation.
The Lee Kwang Soo Scholarship, established in 2014, supports international students in Korea. Mr. Lee, a former participant in the Graduate School of Business executive program, has been dedicated to helping students succeed academically and grow personally. With this year’s recipient, a total of 46 students have been awarded the Lee Kwang Soo Scholarship to date.
The scholarship is part of PTPI (People to People International), a global non-profit organization founded in 1956 by U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, which promotes international understanding, goodwill, and volunteerism through personal and cultural exchange. PTPI Korea, established in 1964 with the Chuncheon Club as its first overseas chapter, now operates 32 adult chapters and dozens of student chapters across the country, continuing its mission to foster global friendship and peace.
The Graduate School of International Studies plans to select new recipients for the Lee Kwang Soo Scholarship for the Fall 2025 semester.
