[Visa] [GKS] Eligibility for F-2 Visa Application(~7/17, 2026)
We would like to share the following information regarding the notice from the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) on eligibility for obtaining the F-2 (Resident) visa under the “2026 GKS Outstanding Talent from Korean War Participating Countries” program.
1. Application Deadline
By July 17, 2026 (Friday), 18:00
※ Please note that applications submitted after the deadline will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.
2. Eligibility
Only applicants who meet both of the following criteria are eligible to apply:
1) Nationals of Korean War participating countries (22 countries; please refer to the attached PDF).
2) Outstanding talents from participating countries who are currently residing in Korea and have successfully completed and obtained a degree as a Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) recipient, or who are expected to obtain their degree in August 2026.
3. Application Method
Complete the Google Form survey below and submit it within the application period.

If any disqualifying factors (such as a criminal record) are identified among recommended candidates, the issuance of the F-2 (Resident) visa may be restricted.
