- "North Korea's adoption of a hostile two-state theory, which denies unity, and the prioritization of foreign strategies over relations with South Korea, means that we cannot expect any remarkable breakthroughs like those seen during the Moon administration," Professor Han Ki-ho, a professor at the Ajou Institute for Unification, told NK News.
- However, the expert said that North Korea may respond more positively if Lee pursues inter-Korean cooperation and diplomacy with China and Russia, adding that this could prove popular with voters concerned about incidents like DPRK trash balloon launches and Yoon’s martial law.
