Support Services for People with Disabilities

The Support Office for Students with Disabilities is an organization established in accordance with Article 30 of the “Act on Special Education for Persons with Disabilities, etc.” to support the education and daily life of university students with disabilities. At Ajou University, it was launched in October 2009 under the Student Affairs Division as the Center for Students with Disabilities to promote student welfare and facilitate smooth campus life through systematic support. In September 2018, it was reorganized under the newly established Human Rights Center, a presidentially affiliated organization, and has since been operating as the Support Office for Students with Disabilities.

Ajou University’s Support Office for Students with Disabilities not only provides academic support and assistance in mobility rights but also continues to expand its support to encompass all aspects of university life. Furthermore, the office carries out various cultural activities aimed at eliminating prejudice, fostering mutual understanding, and building empathy toward students with disabilities on campus. We remain committed to improving educational rights and the quality of education from the perspective of students with disabilities.
