Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy

Ajou University has a policy in place to prevent bribery and corruption. 


Ajou University has its own policy on the Prevention of Improper Solicitation and Graft, which prohibits improper solicitation, the acceptance of gifts and other benefits, and the prior reporting of external lectures and other activities.


·  Research Integrity Committee Operating Rules 

- Ajou University operates a Research Integrity Committee to investigate research misconduct.

- The committee consists of 5 to 7 members, including external experts if necessary.

- After receiving a report, a preliminary and main investigation is conducted to determine misconduct.

- The identities of the whistleblower and the respondent are protected, and confidentiality is maintained.

- If misconduct is confirmed, disciplinary actions are taken, and related records are kept for five years.


· Improper Solicitation and Graft Act

- The Act applies to schools, school foundations, and media outlets, excluding government and public institutions.

- It prohibits improper solicitation and the acceptance of gifts or benefits.

- All external lectures related to duties must be reported in advance, regardless of honorarium.

- Exceptions include small gifts for official duties (e.g., under KRW 30,000) and those from close relatives.

- Spouses of faculty/staff and committee participants are also subject to the Act.
