DORMITORY APPLICATION
FOR SUMMER SEMESTER 2026
Here is the announcement for the 2026 Summer semester dormitory application at Ajou Dormitory. Please review the details carefully and submit your application within the given period. For information regarding the dormitory fee payment, please refer to the upcoming notice.
If you are a resident for the Spring 2026 semester and wish to stay continuously in the Ajou dormitory, you must apply again for the Summer 2026 semester.
Important notice 1. Notice on New Dormitory Construction Schedule
The construction of the new dormitory is scheduled to begin at the end of June 2025, and significant inconvenience is expected for dormitory residents. In particular, loud construction noise, equipment operation, and vibrations may occur during the construction period. Students currently residing in or planning to move into the International Dormitory are advised to take note and exercise extra caution to prevent any safety accidents.

Important notice 2. Operational Restrictions for Certain Floors of the International Dormiory
The 2nd and 6th floors of the International Dormitory have been designated as temporary housing for disaster relief and will not operate during vacation periods.
Students assigned to these floors for the Spring Semester 2026 need to relocate during the summer vacation.
There are not many remaining rooms in the International Dormitory, so please make sure to apply during the regular application period.
Important notice 3. Operational Restrictions for 4th of the Namje Hall
The 4th floor of the Namje Hall will not operate during vacation periods. Since room retention is not possible, please understand that you must move to a new room on the Room Change Day.
1. OPERATION PERIOD OF THE DORMITORY FOR THE SUMMER SEMESTER OF YEAR 2026: 28 JUN 2025 (Sat) - 15 AUG 2025 (Sat)
Ajou dormitory will not accept early move in and late move out, you cannot request to put your stuff before you move in. Also, pillows and blankets are not provided.

*Room changes are not allowed after selecting a room.
3. NOTES FOR APPLICATION
1) All buildings have the same application date.
2) Dormitory selection is based on a first-come, first-served application basis.
3) After applications-> announcement of selection results -> room selection-> payment, If there are remaining vacancies, additional applications will be processed.
4) Students who have already been selected cannot participate in the additional application. You should carefully choose the building and type when applying.
5) Even if you select the option to stay in the same room staying now during the additional application, it will not be reflected, and room assignments will be made based on remaining vacancies.
6) If you apply for the same type of building for the summer semester, you will be allocated to the same room you lived in during the spring semester. Therefore, don't worry if you can't check the box indicating that you want to keep the room as it is when you apply.
And if you wish to stay in a different room for the summer semester, you can select your room through the Ajou portal system on 5, 8 JUNE.(The instructions will be posted on the website notice later, so please check it after you have been selected for the dormitory.)
7) Please do not pay the dormitory fee via an overseas bank account. Due to remittance fees or exchange rate fluctuations, the exact amount may not be transferred.
4. CRITERIA OF APPLICANT
Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students, Exchange Student, CIE students for Korean programs.
* Students expected to graduate in August 2026 are eligible to stay in the dormitory until the end of the summer vacation.
1) If you are an undergraduate student who completes the course work or a special graduate student, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory.
2) If you are a student on a leave of absence and planning to return to school in fall semester 2026, you are eligible to apply for summer semester 2026.
3) If you are going to apply for the Korean Programs in Ajou university, you can stay in the Ajou university after confirmation from the CIE officer.
4) If you are an exchange student who completes your exchange student program for spring semester, you are not eligible to apply for the dormitory for summer semester.
5) If you are a graduate student who completed the course work, you can ONLY apply to the dormitory when you submit the below documents.
- Statement of Supervisor 1 copy (download the attached form) 지도교수확인서 1부
- Completion certificate 1 copy 수료생등록 확인서
* You can only stay in the dormitory up to 6 semesters from the completion date of coursework, if there are enough rooms in the dormitory.
* If there are no enough capacity in the dormitory, your application will not be approved even though you submit all required documents.
6) Those who have not been expelled due to disciplinary action for violating dormitory regulations.
5. APPLICANT ROUTE
1) For Enrolled Undergraduate, Graduate Students
Step 1. Access to Ajou portal https://mportal.ajou.ac.kr/main.do
Step 2. Click "로그인하세요(Log in)" Top right of the page
Step 3. Change language into English - it is bottom of the page
Step 4. Click "(New)Academic Affairs Information (학사서비스)"
Step 5. Click "Application for Student living"+
Step 6. Click "Dormitory Application" (Left side of the page)

✅ Since the Consecutive Resident Applications are for domestic students who plan to stay for more than one year, this option does not apply to international students. International students must apply via the Application for Residence route.
(If you apply through the consecutive resident route, your application will not be accepted.)
For resident who wants to stay in the same room of last semester, you need to tick the question “I PREFER TO STAY IN THE SAME ROOM STAYING NOW”, when you apply for the dormitory in Ajou portal.

7. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS BEFORE MOVE IN
1) Due date of document submission: 28 JUNE 2026 (sun)
2) Tuberculosis test (결핵검사지)
a. Before moving into the dormitory, all residents must submit a Tuberculosis (TB) test result. If you haven't done the test yet, please complete it before moving in.
b. You must submit a TB test result taken after June 28, 2025. The TB test is valid for one year and must be updated annually.
c. The test result sheet must indicate whether the TB test is normal or abnormal, and it should be in English or Korean.
d. Please submit your test result via e-mail(eunji@ajou.ac.kr).
3) STATEMENT OF SUPERVISOR, COMPLETION CERTIFICATE for a graduate student who completed the course works.
a. Please submit two copies via e-mail(eunji@ajou.ac.kr)
b. You need to combine the above copies to One PDF file
8. DORMITORY FEE REFUND BEFORE MOVE IN DATE
1) Dormitory Admission Cancellation & Full Refund (100%)

a. For 2026 Spring Semester residents: Full refund available if cancellation is requested by Tuesday, June 23, 2026
b. For new 2026 Summer residents: Full refund available if cancellation is requested by Saturday, June 27, 2026
2) Mid-Term Withdrawal During Summer Vacation
A 50% refund is available only if the withdrawal is requested by July 22.
3) To get a dormitory fee refund, you must have a bank account in Korea. We do not give a refund to the bank account overseas.
9. MOVE IN PROCEDURE
Press door bell at the gate > Bring along your student ID card > Report to the inspector of each building > Move in
- Move-in before Saturday, June 28 is not allowed.
- Recommended check-in/out time: 10:00–19:00
※ Move-in not allowed during dorm office meal times (11:30–12:30, 17:30–18:30) or after 22:00.
- Students residing in the dormitory during the spring semester may continue staying without moving out.
※ However, students changing rooms must move on Wednesday, June 25.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test result must be submitted.
11. OTHERS
1) When you violate the dormitory regulation and your penalty points are accumulated up to 30 points, you will be out from the dormitory. A scholarship student is not an exception, your dormitory scholarship will not be refunded. (See dormitory regulations via the link below)

2) A general house cleaning is scheduled during the vacation, please cooperate with the housecleaning schedule.
