Cultural Activities

Ajou University offers various cultural experiences to all incoming exchange students. Cultural activities are given to enhance international students’ understanding about Korea, and to lead to provide diverse cultural differences while participating in the activities, and finally to lead local and international students to become global citizens.

  • Korean Folk Village
  • Gyeongju (A city of 2,000-year history)
  • East coast of Korea (Kangwondo)
  • Royal Palace and Royal Secret Garden of Joseon Dynasty
  • Suwon Hwaseong Fortress (UNESCO designated World Heritage)
  • Korean traditional paper- crafting
  • Samsung Electronics or LG Electronics (will visit available company at the time)
  • Hyundai Motors Factory Visit

Study Abroad Fair

Study Abroad Fair is designed to promote study abroad opportunities for Ajou students. At this fair, local students and international students are paired to work together to promote each exchange university and the study abroad destinations.

International Day

Ajou International Day is one of the biggest annual festivals of Ajou university during the fall semester. This opportunity provides international students to get together with the local students to present each country’s culture, costume, food and many others.

  • During the field trips, participants need to purchase their own meals.
  • Students who have the benefits will be asked to write an essay about their stay at Ajou University. Please submit it to Ajou’s international office at the end of stay upon the request.
  • We recommend you to bring a special costume such as folk costume and other artifacts of your country for the “Ajou International Day” festival.
