Dormitory Heating/Cooling Supply Standards and FCU User Manual
1. FCU (Heating/Cooling System) Usage Guide
1) Central Supply System
- Heating and cooling are centrally controlled by the Dormitory Management Office.
- If the central system is not actively supplying heating or cooling, your in-room FCU will not produce any temperature change, even if it is turned on.
2) Seasonal Transition Period (Cooling ↔ Heating)
- Switching between cooling and heating modes requires a system changeover, which takes approximately two weeks.
- This usually occurs in May and November, during which all heating/cooling functions will be temporarily suspended.
3) When Heating or Cooling Starts
- The Dormitory Management Office monitors indoor and outdoor temperatures and begins central supply when the temperature meets the designated criteria.
- For more details about operating temperatures, please refer to the dormitory website (Home > Info > Heating & Cooling).
4) FCU Cleaning
- Each FCU unit is disassembled and thoroughly cleaned once a year by the dormitory staff.
5) How to Operate the FCU in Your Room
- You can adjust the power, fan speed, and temperature by opening the cover on the right side of the FCU.
- Temperature control is only available when central supply is active.
