Ajou’s Ye Seul Park wins the Grand Prize Paper of the Year from the Korea Information Processing Society

Ajou University’s Ye Seul Park (right in above picture) won the Grand Prize Paper of the Year from the Korea Information Processing Society (KIPS).


KIPS presented the award to the year’s best paper during the 2015 Academic Award event, which was held on December 4th at the Palace Hotel Seoul.


The award-winning paper was entitled “Identifying Illness-related Features Based on the Structure of Coronary Arteries in Medical Images Related to Acute Myocardial Infarction,” which was well-received in that it tried to put together various medical images and data.


Regarding the award, Ye Seul Park said, “I would like to thank my guiding professor Jung Won Lee and hope to contribute to the development of medical software as an engineering scholar. To achieve the goal, I would like to advance to the doctoral course for more in-depth research activities.”
