A graduation ceremony is held for Ajou’s Key Leaders Education Program for Suwon City officials

On the morning of December 14th, the graduation ceremony was held for the 2015 Key Leaders Education Program for Suwon City Officials in Ajou University’s College Academic Building. Ajou’s Graduate School of Public Administration is operating the Program at the request of the Suwon Municipal Government.


The ceremony was attended by the thirty graduating officials, Suwon City Mayor Tae Young Yeom (pictured above), and Chairman Sun Yeong Park of the Planning and Economy Committee under the Suwon City Council. Also in attendance were Executive Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation Kyung Hee Choi, Dean of the Graduate School Joong Soon Jang, and Dean Heung Sik Kim and Visiting Professor Jin Pyo Kim of the Graduate School of Public Administration from the University.


The ceremony began with the presentation of graduation certificates, followed by the award presentation and an address by Dean Heung Sik Kim, and congratulatory speeches by Executive Vice President Choi, Mayor Yeom, and Visiting Professor Kim. There were presentations on excellent policy suggestions prior to the ceremony.


Accolades that were presented included the Award of the University President, the Award of the Suwon City Mayor, the Award of the Dean of the Graduate School, and the Award of Achievement. Winners of the awards are as follows:
 
◆ Award of the University President: Yeong Hwa Gong
◆ Award of the Suwon City Mayor: Sang Bin Jeong
◆ Award of the Dean of the Graduate School: Seon Yeong Park, Jeong Ah Yang, and Seong Shin Cho
◆ Award of Achievement: Byeong Soo Lim, Sang Bin Jeong, Ae Yeong Kim, and Byeong Ju Ryu
 

Thirty officials (Grade 6) from the Suwon Municipal Government have attended the Key Leaders Education Program, which has lasted for ten months since February. The Program includes 19 subjects including “The Changing Administrative Environment and Local Government Administration for the Future,” “Proper Views of Public Positions,” “Laws and Regulations Relevant to Municipal Officials,” and “Education on Informatization.”
