Suwon City, Attracting high-tech companies on campus with 5 universities

Suwon City signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with five universities in the city to attract advanced industries. The universities are Kyonggi University, Dongnam University, Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon Women's University, and Ajou University.

Under the MOU, the universities will promote the attraction of enterprises on their campuses and cooperate with Suwon City in its enterprise attraction projects. Suwon City will provide administrative support, such as expediting various permits and administrative procedures, for the smooth implementation of the MOU. Suwon City and the universities will hold regular meetings to promote the MOU.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-joon said, "Suwon has many advantages for corporate activity, such as good transportation networks and geographic location. We will work together with enterprises and universities to overcome regulations such as the Capital Region Development Act and achieve co-growth."
