Ajou University’s Distinguished Classics Lecture—Ajou Classics Brown Bag Lectures
Ajou Classics Brown Bag Lectures (BBL), first launched in the second semester of 2013 at Dasan University College, is a part of the ACE Project aiming to expand education in Ajou Classics.
This is an extra-curricular lecture held at lunchtime, similar to lectures in prestigious universities abroad, but is closer to a more refined lecture on Classics as strict rules are in place for the consumption of food and beverages, requires a reservation, and maximizes the use of a computing environment.
Ajou Classics BBL, along with the Great Ajou Classics Contest held every November, offers Ajou University students a way to read the Classics—part of humanity’s intellectual legacy, but challenging to understand.
During the 10th Ajou BBL in 2019, ten professors who wrote introductions to the Great Ajou Classics took part as lecturers and guided students through the intensive world of classical literature.
