Algebraic geometry is the area to study solutions of a number of polynomial equations, in a geometric view point. In this talk, we will introduce a well-known conjecture in this area, the Hartshorne conjecture, that roughly states that every complex manifold contained in a two bigger dimensional projective space is defined by just two equations. This is an astonishing statement in a sense that it would be possible to explain everything on such manifolds in terms of two equations. During the talk, we will suggest two more equivalent statements to the Hartshorne conjecture in terms of vector bundle and report some of our recent contribution.
