[Notice] [GKS] Eligibility for F-2 Visa Application(~1/15, 2026)

We would like to share the following information regarding the notice from the National Institute for International Education (NIIED) on eligibility for obtaining the F-2 (Resident) visa under the “2026 First Half GKS Outstanding Talent from Korean War Participating Countries” program.

1. Application Deadline

  • By January 15, 2026 (Thursday)
    ※ Please note that applications submitted after the deadline will NOT be accepted under any circumstances.

2. Eligibility
Only applicants who meet both of the following criteria are eligible to apply:

  1) Nationals of Korean War participating countries (22 countries; please refer to the attached PDF).

  2) Outstanding talents from participating countries who are currently residing in Korea and have successfully completed and obtained a degree as a Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) recipient, or who are expected to obtain their degree in February 2026.

3. Application Method

  • Complete the Google Form survey below and submit it within the application period.

5. Important Notes

  • If any disqualifying factors (such as a criminal record) are identified among recommended candidates, the issuance of the F-2 (Resident) visa may be restricted.
